Copenhagen Infill Studio: Advanced CGI Architectural Photomontage & Camera Matching.

This project focuses on the complex integration of a new, modern, in-fill architectural design into a historical urban context in Copenhagen. Our client required a comprehensive visual study not only to test a new architectural direction but to achieve a hyper-realistic visualization suitable for planning applications or final marketing.

We didn't just render a building; we transformed the entire understanding of the urban gap. The challenge lay in perfectly matching the perspective of the existing 19th-century brick facades, balancing the complex lighting of an overcast day, and seamlessly blending the boundaries between the real photograph and the 3D insertion.

By utilizing advanced Camera Matching and Corona Renderer’s Shadow Catcher techniques, we created a seamless photomontage. The modern checkerboard facade of patterned stone and horizontal timber louvers is perfectly scaled, reflecting the context and allowing natural, detailed internal lighting to create depth and eliminate the sterile "CGI feel."
