Leonia – Urban Waste Cycle

This visualization explores a dense urban environment shaped by the continuous cycle of consumption and waste. The scene depicts a city service operation taking place in a narrow street surrounded by high-rise buildings and mixed architectural styles. A waste collection truck and municipal workers are positioned in the centre of the composition, highlighting the hidden infrastructure that sustains everyday urban life. Piles of discarded materials, temporary barriers, and maintenance equipment reinforce the idea of a city constantly renewing itself while simultaneously generating waste. The lighting focuses on artificial working lights that illuminate the street environment against the dramatic evening sky, creating a strong contrast between the monumental scale of the surrounding architecture and the human activity at ground level. The project explores themes of urban density, infrastructure, and the often overlooked processes that keep modern cities functioning.
